CREATING IMAGEMAPS

You will need a RULER for this worksheet; preferably, one where you can easily measure tenths of inches. (That is, one inch is divided into ten equal parts.)
  1. Download the image below to your own computer. The name of this image is "sglass.jpg"; its width is 392 pixels and its height is 411 pixels.

a stained glass window, width 392 pixels, height 411 pixels

This is a slightly modified version of an image that I obtained from the following website:
http://www.blueharegraphics.com/sglass/victorian/index.html (link is no longer valid)
  2. PRINT OUT a copy of this image. (If you want, you can just print this web page.) You'll be making measurements on your print-out.
  3. Measure the width of your print-out. Record your measurement here (e.g., 4.1 inches):
  4. Measure the height of your print-out. Record your measurement here (e.g., 4.3 inches):
  5. Create the imagemaps for each of the following pages. Use your favorite links for each "hot-spot"! (The pages will be passed out in class; they are NOT on the web.)
