We have a heart-shaped waffle maker that makes these extra fun! Amazon doesn't have the model we own, but here's a similar one.

Out of maple syrup? Here's Bethany's solution: mix brown sugar and water in desired consistency. Microwave (cover with a towel so no splatters) for 1 minute and stir again.

This makes 6 batches in our waffle maker (4 heart-shaped waffles each).

INGREDIENTS:
PREPARATION:
  1. Preheat the waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder and sugar; set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Stir in the milk, butter and vanilla.
  4. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture; beat until blended.
  5. Cook the waffles according to your waffle maker instructions.
